Dr. Rose Navin Wood

Dr. Rose Navin Wood graduated from with honors from the Pennsylvania State University and received her Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. She was the recipient of numerous awards for her achievements in the field of optometry, contact lenses and ophthalmic optics. She belonged to various academic honor fraternities and societies. She began practicing in Washington County in 1985. She opened Eyecare Professionals in September of 2001.
To control costs and to provide patients with the surroundings and service they deserved, she relocated to the beautiful new larger office in October of 2011. |
As a child, Dr. Wood's family moved regularly. She has lived in South Dakota, Wisconsin, Texas, California, Pennsylvania and Florida prior to moving to Hagerstown. She fell in love with Washington County and is thrilled to have called this home since her graduation in 1985. She loves practicing Optometry and spending time with her patients and her wonderful staff. She is a member and past President of the Hagerstown Lioness Club and she attends church locally.
She loves to travel, read and spend time with her family, She has three wonderful children and is married to Terry, her high school sweetheart.

Dr. Lauren N. Wood

Dr. Lauren N. Wood was born and raised in Washington County. She is excited to be able to return home and care for this community. She earned her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University and her Doctorate of Optometry degree at Salus University, The Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Dr. Wood's clinical background includes externships at Eye Centers of South Florida in North Miami Beach, FL and The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Additional clinical rotations were completed at Nittany Eye Associates in State College, PA, William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, SC as well as Capital Eye Consultants in Fairfax, VA. |
Her clinical experience had an emphasis in primary care optometry and ocular disease with experience co-managing cataract and refractive surgeries. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Wood acquired optical lab experience at Eye Care Professionals and was an optician at Nittany Eye Associates.

Clinical Certifications & Specialties: Honors in Advanced Pediatrics Program at Salus University, Management of Ocular Disease such as diabetes, macular degeneration, corneal disease and removal of foreign bodies. I was a foster parent and adopted 4 sisters through fostering. I feel I should do all I can to help further my community. I enjoy spending time with my 6 daughters. Cooking, baking, reading, swimming and traveling. |
